Maller Family

As a family we come from a Roman Catholic/atheist/Pentacostal Charismatic background and were in desperation and seeking the truth of God and Jesus. We were lost in the world, steeped in business and constantly networking and mixing in the corporate scene in the city, spending so much of our time in secular self-development but not giving much time at all to God and His word. So we were bearing no fruits of the Spirit and had not yet received the gift of salvation, as we had not understood the gospel despite being heavily involved in our church for over 10 years. God removed us from that church and led us to online teachings, taking us through trials and difficulties as He helped us to grow and move through teachers moving us closer to the truth as we slowly grew and worked through our worldly attachments. Finally being saved but still baby Christians, and still without the fellowship of a church with doctrine aligning to ours, we began searching our local Townsville for a bible believing church, and not finding one began to search all of Australia. By God’s grace we found Open Bible Baptist Church in Sydney, and upon our first visit knew we had found our home church. But we heard God’s call to our hearts, our deep love for FNQ and its people showed a need for a church like this one we had found. And so begins our journey, to plant and establish a bible believing church on the coast of Queensland and pray for God’s blessing for many more along the coastline.
